What is Greek life?

Greek life is a term that is used to describe membership within all Greek letter organizations at a college or university. Greek organizations are run under the National Panhellenic Conference for sororities and the North-American Interfraternity Conference for fraternities. The conferences are led by past and current members of the Greek organizations. These organizations are made up of fraternity and sorority ‘chapters’ and each number of chapter’s vary per University. Greek life is all about leadership and finding a sense of community within their ‘Brotherhood’ or ‘Sisterhood’. By building lifelong friendships, academic achievement and participating together in charity events throughout the year for a chapter’s philanthropy.
