Many schools will put a “hold” on your grades. These are called different things at each school, but it refers to when your grades, transcripts, etc. are being “held.” This means that if you want a transcript sent to another school or to an employer, the school will not accommodate you. Generally, a school will use this tactic if you are late with any payments or have incomplete grades that have not been corrected.
