What exactly is a Greek community?

A Greek community is usually a section of houses (or a dormitory) on or off campus that provides housing for the members in each chapter. When provided it creates a close-knit neighbourhood. It also means the Greek system as a whole, meaning all participating members in each fraternity and sorority. As a home away from home, the Greek community seeks to provide support in all aspects of life to its members, whether that is social, academic or in future career endeavors.
