Top 5 Party Nights in College

While it’s quite true that there are big parties just about every weekend during the college, there are a few exceptional weekends that have the biggest parties of the year. Each school has it’s own big nights as well, but these are some that go across the board and are big no matter what college you go to.

1. Halloween

Halloween

Halloween is always a big party weekend or night. In fact, every day during the weekend of Halloween and the day of Halloween itself there is a party, and people dress up each day. Just keep in mind that Halloween costumes take a different purpose after your trick-or-treating years. For girls, Halloween is an excuse to dress a little less “conservatively”, and for guys, they just try not to look like jackasses.

2. Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras is in some ways similar to Halloween because some people dress up, but for the most part in consists of lots of beads, not a lot of clothes and ton of alcohol on the streets. Anytime you mix alcohol and the outdoors, it’s a good time.

3. St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day

We are not sure why St. Patrick’s Day became the alcoholic’s Super Bowl, but it has. For some reason, St. Patrick’s Day has turned into the day that Americans go out, drink and raise hell. Definitely a great excuse to party.

4. Day Before Graduation

Before Graduation

Whether you’re graduating, or just celebrating a friend’s graduation, this is always one of the best times to go out for a good time. Everyone is on a high because of the fact that they’re done with school, and nothing makes you want to party more than the thought of no school.

5. Cesar Chavez Day

Cesar Chavez Day

Nothing like a spring time booze fest. This is one of those forgotten holidays that creep up on students and surprise them with a three day weekend out of nowhere. The best way to celebrate is with shots of tequila and margaritas of course.
